A Father's Day Poem For My Man

I wrote this for my husband, Jeff, back in 2006.  It is just as true today as it was then:

You make me nuts -

no ifs, ands or buts.

You'll say, "Right back at you!"

I know I push your buttons too.

Sometimes I question if we should be together.

But in the end, I know the storms we'll weather.

We're in it for the long haul,

even if we stumble and sometimes fall.

A long time ago our commitments were made.

We've been one now for almost a decade.

No matter what I may say - we're the real deal.

In my heart, this is how I feel.

You're a great father and good husband for this I am glad.

There's no one else I'd want to be my partner and my kids' dad.
